In this period of unprecedented uncertainty and systems collapse, it is time to uplift the world with positivity and inspiration. Even when the world is locked down, our spirits can be lifted and our hearts can remain open.
For the International Day of Peace, September 21, a message of unity and peace will resonate from the heart of the Middle East and spread across the world. Musicians and spiritual leaders from different faiths and traditions will gather at sunset to share one inclusive unified message:
To honor and celebrate the diversity of all cultures and affirm the need for unity and the healing of our world.
This one-time event will be broadcasted live from a high point overlooking the Old City of Jerusalem – an ancient city that has seen both the deepest expression of spiritual devotion and the deepest pain of the human condition.
The ceremony began with a global synchronized prayer and meditation for World Peace led by spiritual and community leaders from different traditions and local youth. This powerful moment of intention united a large global online audience joined in prayer.
The climax of this intentional moment was a global song circle, led by The Jerusalem Youth Chorus, sharing the inspirational song “One Source Waking Up”. Produced in alliance with the global singing initiative “One Day One Choir”, this uplifting song resonates across the world, uniting millions of voices simultaneously into one global chorus of peace and unity.
Yael Deckelbaum and Orka Teppler, two of the most prominent female voices in Israel today, open the event by singing heart-opening songs and playing music.
As the sun sets, internationally recognized singer Yasmin Levy takes to the stage, followed by Yael and Orka who were joined by well known Israeli-Arab singer, Lubna Salame, for a dynamic performance united in song, joy and spirit. Next, celebrated local musician Gil Ron Shama began a musical ceremony featuring master musicians from different faiths, weaving a sonic tapestry of heartfelt songs and ecstatic rhythms.
Be part of lifting global consciousness and spreading the seeds of unity.
